Food and NutritionQueen's Food and Nutrition Services in partnership with Sodexho is responsible for the delivery of quality nutrition care services to Queen's patients, employees, visitors and community members. Queen's food services include:

  • Clinical Nutrition Care
  • Patient Meal Services
  • Food Preparation and Production
  • Visitor and Employee Dining
  • Catering

The medical center's food service operations are located in the Queen Emma Tower. Every day Queen's produces an average of 1,200 patient meals, over 2 dozen catered meals, and a wide variety of food for the roughly 2500 customers of the on-campus visitor and employee dining operations.

Queen's holds to strict food quality and sanitation standards, such as the Gold Check program and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). All medical center food service personnel must also pass training on food preparation methods, safety and sanitation, and on hospital food service issues such as special diets for patients.
