Angiography—Services Overview

Location and Parking

  • Angiography/Interventional Services is located on the first floor of the Queen Emma Tower
  • Recommend parking in the Queen's Miller Street garage (you may also park in Queen's Physician’s Office Building I garage)
  • Handicapped stalls are available in front of the hospital and in designated stalls in all garages
  • Validated parking is available for Queen's Physician’s Office Builidings I and II garages, and the Miller Street garag

The department offers a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:

  • Angiography of all vascular anatomy except cardiac
  • Vascular Interventional procedures
  • Angioplasty
  • Thrombolysis
  • Thrombectomy
  • Embolization
  • Stent Insertion
  • Biliary Drainage and Cholaniograms
  • Percutaneous nephrostomy
  • Abscess drainage
  • Trans Jugular Intrahepatic Portosytemic Shunts (TIPS)
  • Biopsy Procedures

NOTE: Most patients will be admitted to a short stay area for pre and post procedure monitoring. Depending on the type of procedure, the recovery time may vary from 4-6 hours.


  • Digital biplane angiographic unit
  • Digital single plane angiographic unit

The department is staffed by interventional radiologist physicians, registered special procedures technologists, and registered nurses.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, on-call coverage for emergency procedures
