Support Services for Patients and Family

SUPPORT SERVICES – Queen’s Cancer Institute – 808.537.7353
Breast Cancer Support Group – 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Pre-registration is required. Please call 808.537.7353 to pre-register, or for more information.

Cancer Treatment & You – an quarterly educational course consisting of four consecutive classes dealing with cancer treatments, side effects, and tips for managing side effects. To register, please call the Queen’s Referral Line at 808.537.7117 or the Queen’s Cancer Institute at 808.537.7353.

SUPPORT SERVICES – American Cancer Society – 808.595.7544
Breast Cancer: “Reach to Recovery” – a one-to-one visitation program by women volunteers who have just recovered from breast cancer.

Rectal Cancer: Honolulu Ostomy Association – a support group for ostomy patients with surgery leaving an opening in the abdominal wall.

Laryngeal Cancer: Hui Olelo (Speech Club) – a support group for those recovering speech and communication skills following laryngectomy (removal of voice box). Certified volunteers are also available to visit before and after surgery.

Look Good … Feel Better - Cosmetic tips for those undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Learn makeup, skin care, and hairstyling with wigs and other accessories.

Prostate Cancer: “Man to Man” – a prostate cancer education and support program that offers community-based group discussion, education and support.
